    Exterior Coffee Table

    Charlottenborg Exterior Coffee Table is designed by Arne Jacobsen and is made in Alu-Rattan and ArtFibre.

    Alu-Rattan is weatherproof powder coated aluminum and ArtFibre is artificial fibers made of maintenance-free polyethylene that can withstand the sun's UV radiation. Due to the weatherproof materials, the furniture can withstand being outside throughout the year without maintenance.

    Arne Jacobsen

    This furniture is designed by Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) who is one of Denmark's most renowned architects. He is well-known for the iconic total architectural designs that he created from the 1930s onwards where he, in addition to the building project itself, also supplied designs for furniture, textiles, lamps, glass, cutlery, clocks, bathroom fixtures, door handles, etc.

    But already as a student in the 1920s Arne Jacobsen gained international recognition for his first furniture designs which was made in wicker. These set the tone for his career and quickly placed him among the most visionary architects of his time. Read more about Arne Jacobsen here.

    Exterior | Alu-Rattan & ArtFibre

    The furniture in our Exterior collection is handcrafted in Alu-Rattan and Sika-Design ArtFibre®. Alu-Rattan is powder-coated aluminum that has been developed to resemble rattan and its unique shaping ability. Powder coating has the advantage that it can withstand hard wear and high temperatures.

    ArtFibre® is a unique fiber made of dyed hard-wearing polyethylene that is temperature and UV resistant. The fiber has a strong structure that can maintain its shape for years on end.

    MAINTENANCE Our Exterior furniture requires no maintenance. The furniture is suitable for standing outside all year round and is easy to clean. For general cleaning, the furniture can be washed with water mixed with mild soap. Find more information about care and maintenance here.
